I want to help out so I can learn

Hi all,
I'm new at Photography and I want to learn as much as I can quickly. I figured the best way to do that outside of reading books and taking classes is learning alongside a pro. I'm willing to help out with any photoshoot. And I know I need to start at the bottom. I can help with anything, carrying equipments, setting up, printing, directing the crowd. I dont care what I need to do as long as it leads me to learn more about taking photos (business side is interesting too). I have helped a few shoots with genesis-photographer-group. Pay is not important, but it is nice to receive some compensation for my time. I work 9-7 during the week. I prefer to do this on the weekends. Photography is a mix of art and science (recipes vary), so be patient. Learning quickly isn't usually the best way, as experience gained over time is often the best teacher.
