Even if your name isn't the same as your corpration, if you search SOS Records (Secretary of State) you can find the Incorporated Entities legal name and then search for their Tax Id. All business Record (especially those of incorportated entities) are open records. Granted, most people will not have access to these, as access costs, but you can search for free. We deal almost exclusively with other Coroporations (Property Management) and utilize this information alot in contractual dealings daily.
Even a corporation has to have a Texas Sales Tax ID. The corporation I work for does just like Wal-Mart, Target etc. and all of those have Texas Sales Tax ID's for EACH location in Texas.
Have you ever wonder how come you get so many phone calls from soilictors, companies and other trying to sell you services etc. at your business phone? They simply search these records looking for the ones they want to market to.
