Who do you recommend for online fulfillment besides smugmug? - 01-29-2009, 05:48 PM

Another iteration came out this week, and still no pro coupons or packages. I feel it's past the time to make a change.

Recommendations of an outfit that can provide coupons/gift certificates/ packages, etc? Reference this thread if you like for more details.

Thanks in advance!

This is probably not a surprise, but I recommend www.exposuremanager.com

You can build whatever packages you like. They have dozens of specialty products. They have coupons and gift certificates.
Their main page doesn't show you all the products, but I just looked at the list and there are sports cards, panorama prints, coffee mugs, etc.
You set the price you want to charge. You can upload print ready or just for review. Their email notifications are great. They provide the info the customer gives them i.e. name, address, tele, email.
I'm no web genius, so sometimes I get frustrated making the packages exactly the way I want, but their customer service is almost immediate.
They have recently modified their payment process so you need to check that out to make sure it is OK for you.

I forgot to mention that you can set up different packages for every gallery you have.

I routinely offer discounts for larger orders. It is stated in the pricing. I get good results from it.

Another vote for Exp Manager the prepaid vouchers are great, you can export the voucher nunmbers and merge into a Word file and print all you wantf, you can set them for whatever amount you want and select the ONE time only option. It usually gets more sale since the customer will find more they want if they go over the voucher amount they can pay with a CC, they are great for events.
just my humble opinion

pictology also offers order fulfillment now. they also support timed flat discounts. I think they are still free if you have 2 or less sessions up at once. Then they take a % of your sales.

Another option I haven't spent a lot of time researching as I'm still with Exposure Manager. http://www.instaproofs.com/home/

I use Exposure Manager for ecommerce as well as the proofing functionality in my CMD website. But all of my actual prints are done by WHCC.

Anyone have any experience with Zenfolio? I know they are now affiliated with Mpix. Just curious.
I'm with Tom. For too long SM has been saying they will have packages and coupons.

Zenfolio - 01-31-2009, 02:20 PM

I know a lot of people that use zenfolio and are very happy with it. I am not busy enough to do auto fulfillment, but I know that it will come to that one day, and I love MPIX so that may be the route that I go later.

My client site is on Zenfolio. I tested Smugmug an Zenfolio before I went with Zenfolio. They just rolled out digital downloads in their latest update. They do have coupons but no packages. They use Mpix as their fulfillment company. I really like the simplicity and professional look of their galleries and the ease of uploading new photos.

I'm pretty pleased with them and for $100/year for a pro account I think you can't really go wrong with them. PM me for a referral code for $5 off.
