Has anyone done any ads with local radio stations......does it work??? Does it not?? I met with a radio person today, and it was pretty reasonable on the pricing, but what kind of returns have you seen? Keep in mind, Brownwood is a small town too :)

We used radio with only moderate success many years ago, but we are in a large market where our clients listened to over a dozen different stations.

Do most people in Brownwood listen to the local station? And if so, when do they listen? If you could get spots at the times that mom's are in the car it could work quite well in your market. I don't advise buying a package that has random play. The folks listening to the radio at 2:00 a.m. are not your ideal clients.

We traded out photographs of the on air personalities for our radio spots so they really didn't cost very much.

Cable TV can also work in some markets.

I tried it here for about 6 months straight. The response rate was terrible. WOM (prompted or normal) and schmoozing has always had the best return for me.
