Need form for full use license of photos - 04-02-2009, 01:02 PM

I'm looking for a license form for a product shoot I did recently.

I want to allow the client full unlimited use of the images. I'd like to retain the copyright, and the right to use the images for promotional purposes.

Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks

I'll be patiently waiting for a reply, since I am in need of the same thing.

These sort of things are not generally given out willy nilly.
If you belong to a professional organization, you can find examples through them.
Everybody (including me) wants something for nothing, but sometimes you have to fork over the cash to buy the book, join the group, etc.

For me all of that is in the contract signed BEFORE the shoot. I customize each one depending upon the requirements and what the images are going to be used for.

Search on "copyright release" and you may get what you are looking for. You may have to read a bit, but...

I've been using Blinkbid for quite some time and it provides a great way to customize a licensing agreement to the client. i.e. you retain full ownership rights, and specifically license the images to the clients desires (and charge accordingly).

Thanks for the replies. I'll do more research. Blinkbid does look pretty good - I'll probably check out the demo.

I never said, nor did I intend to imply that I want something for nothing. I never even used the word free. I'm not expecting someone to give it out "willy nilly". Since I'm not a Pro, and don't intend to become one, I don't belong to a pro photo organization.

I just figured someone here would be able to recommend a good source for this specific license agreement type.
