Client Information??? - 04-03-2009, 08:58 PM

So how do you keep up with your clients information?

For my online gallery I use smugmug and the domain name is hosted by godaddy, but neither of which have a way of snycing my clients information... right now I use the online calendar with godaddy for my schedule & paper files for all the details, but I want a way to track anniversaries, birthdays, etc that doesn't bleed over into my shoot schedule.

I want to be organized so I can access my info anywhere I am... without spending a fortune.

Thanks for your help!!!

Jenn

I use SuccessWare and it is only half of a fortune. If you are really serious about business and tracking your client information, I don't know of anything better. But if the price is more than you can afford look at the offerings from Granite Bear and Studio Cloud.

Try a smartphone synced with outlook and multiple calendars. This way you have all your calendar information in your hand at all times, and it syncs with your desktop. Cheap, fast, easy. Personally I use a blackjack and outlook 2007, my wife uses an iphone and outlook 2007.

Jenn -
I'm an outlook whore.... it makes my life SO much easier. You can add clients, add projects, add tasks, add their info to the calendar, and have it pop up to remind you...

PLUS...

it syncs with my i-phone so I am 'up to date' all the time....

I had to laugh. Never put it that way but have always said if it's not in Outlook, it doesn't happen!

Thank you all sooooo much! My husband went out and bought me a blackberry and have been using Outlook with it... I LOVE IT!!!!!! I no longer get lost (using Google Maps), am able to look at my calendar while on the phone with clients, create new client profiles while on the phone with them... look at just the weddings I have lined up... I am now an Outlook Whore myself. Though I must now pose the question... when do I get to become a whore in the photography profession? I'm still in slave status (no money being made here yet : ) Do I need to get a pimp?

You all are the BEST!!!!!
