Take the free download at Photodex. Try it out. It is very intuitive. I just purchased the program to make DVD shows that play on my living room player and sound system and 40 inch flatscreen. Very impressive. You build the show by inserting pics, add music from your computer and export for DVD. Your computer burning program then takes over and burns the show.
Some players in the living room prefer DVD+r, others DVD-R. I had to figure that out.

I use it and it has lots of options. I edit video in Adobe but found that PS Producer was much easier to work in. This newest version if far more advanced than what I started with just a few generations back (2.8 I think).

I've used it for a number of years and also find it very intuitive. It has a lot of options for control so you can do some very sophisticated effects if you dig into it. Great options for output too. I like it.
