Texas School 2009 TPF Lunch and Hookup Thread

Ok, I guess I'm going to try and coordinate some of this here...

(Sunday, May 2 - Friday, May 8)
Sunday, everything starts at 1pm and it looks like we get an hour and a half for lunch on Monday and Tuesday and an hour on Wednesday and Thursday.. and then out in time for lunch on Friday. This may make it difficult to coordinate anything major for lunch on Wednesday and Thursday.

Sooooo... I'm thinking at a minimum, we could try and coordinate something bigger for either Sunday lunch or Friday lunch (maybe both)... and have a smaller deal on the other days (even fast food, but still could visit over it).

The bad news is that Billadelphia's (some of you went with me during the last TPPA convention) is closed.

So.. I'm going to scout a little next week for other places to eat nearby. The two lots where they tell us to park are at opposite ends of campus, so that will make it next to impossible to meet at the campus and then go.. we'll just have to decide where we're going to meet. (There is also food in the student center on campus.)

With that in mind.. I was thinking that what I should do (as a bit of a coordinator here) is to volunteer my cell phone number .. people can text me if they want to find out where we are for lunch... I will also post to this thread each day on where whatever group wants to join me will be heading.

So.. my cell: 214-356-2389 (its not like its hard to find, its plastered all over my website). If you send me a text, make sure you sign the text so I know who it is. LOL

I will update this thread with potential food locations as Texas School gets closer....

Keep in mind that some classes go to lunch earlier than posted and some go later. This is done so that 600-700 people don't all hit the food court at 12 noon. At A&M it was usually easier to eat on campus most days. My class went together one day for lunch at a place recommended to us.

Sunday and Friday will definitely work for me.

Ya, I was just looking at that.. it probably will be best to head towards the University Center for food... there are lots of possibilities there, including Chick-fil-A, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, and more... still, I'm offering up as coordinator for where there may be a group of people if we just want to sit with some familiar faces and talk photography.

So.. those looking at this thread and going to Texas School .. want to meet for a brunch Sunday and/or after-school lunch on Friday?

SUNDAY!!! I'm not going to Texas School, but I'm going to Aric's workshop that Saturday and will have a session at Brad's studio in the morning. So I could hang out for lunch before you guys all start your classes! So I vote SUNDAY!
