This is a complete set of Photogenic Studio lighting. Includes:
Five (5) light set up
4 - 200 W/S Photogenic Studiomaster II lights with stands including boom for hair light.
1 - 200 W/S Photogenic Studiomaster II light with 200 W/S Booster with stand.
These lights are very dependable and in excellent condition. My reason for selling is that I am now retired and no longer need them.
Original cost was over $4500.00. Reduced from $600 to $500 or best reasonable offer. The 5 photogenic lightstands are worth this much by themselves.
Prefer Houston pickup, but will ship if buyer pays shipping.

True, but photogenic quality is hard to beat at any price. I have a set of photogenic lights that went through a fire in 1998, and were inundated with water from the fire department. I pulled them out of the ashes, dried them out with a hair dryer, plugged them in, and used them on a job the next day. They never missed a beat. I'm still using them today.

Stan,
I'm a lighting newbee. Can you still get parts/repair if you need them? I'm looking for studio lights and am certainly old school enough to appreciate old school quality.

I bought these lights new and have only had one repair to them. I used a company called Photronics in Houston a few years ago. The modeling lights are easily found and I have one extra unused flashtube. These lights have been well taken care of. At the price this is a bargain for a complete studio set-up.

If I was starting a studio I would be all over this. These are the predecessors of monolights. Each one has several power settings and each light is independent of the others. The stands alone are probably worth the price you are asking. And Photogenic will still repair these lights.

Don,
Thank you for the input. As I said above I appreciate old school quality, I just didn't want to get stuck with technology that was too dated. I made an offer to Stan. Thanks again to you and Stan for the info. hbwise added 10 Minutes and 53 Seconds later...Double Post Merged Below
Stan,
Just curious, when did you buy them?

Is there an adapter for softboxes available for these ? Can you use the current photogenic rings?
These lights were so expensive when they came out because they were the best of the best and the latest technology. We've come a long way but since the laws of nature haven't changed, these lights would be great today, and at this price they are a steal.

The current quick connect photogenic power light adapter rings work on these lights. | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
