Do I have to be Mr. Grumpy and remind you that crop factors don't actually multiply the focal length?

Never mind that, I want this, too. But not gonna do it! Can't! You can't make me!

Say, here's an idea...I'll find the smallest sensor from the smallest digicam I can find, install it in my 1DsIII and with a crop factor of 10:1 my 50mm F1.8 turns into a 500mm F1.8...I'm a genius!......Ben

Come on Mr. Grumpy. Don't burst the bubble. We have always just ignored the science and described it the way it "appears".

Here's a good description of what really happens.....

Isn't there a saying... Perception is reality.

Okay - sorry for my part in the hijack. Good luck selling it and I really do want (eventually) one in a 4/3 mount.

It was a pleasure doing business with you, Stephen. On a side note, I went through prostate cancer surgery last year and presently am hobbled with a torn meniscus. I get the meniscus worked on in a couple of weeks. Believe me; I’m really out of shape due to the laying around for the last eighteen months. The “Big Mama” should give me a much needed work out.
