Heh, I didn't even know it had a diffuser until I looked at the "empty" box the other day.. I always use other modifiers with it... or bare flash.

You can find them at B&H as well as mpex.com

The diffuser is the wide angle adapter that "spreads" the beam to a wider range.

clark, How much do you want for the 285? Has it got any accessories? Does it work allright?

Richard,

it is in great shape it has 2 diffusers but they are the same 28mm ones, I also have the cord to use the Quantum turbo battery. I will take $75 for the flash and $15 for the cable.

sounds good. Will it work with y Cannon 40D? What id the cable for?

The Vivitar 285HV will work with any SLR or DSLR. The cable will connect the flash to an external quantum turbo battery.
