FS: Sigma camera and lens - 10-26-2009, 12:04 AM

Both items were bought new and have just been sitting around not being used. These items would comprise a nice starter kit for someone just jumping into DSLR photography. The camera is first generation for Sigma and is out of production but the lens is still in production and has a stellar reputation. I'll respond to any messages when I get home from work. I'll leave them for sale on this forum until next Sunday and move them to CL if not sold by then.

Sigma SD9 3.54MP Digital SLR Camera...$150...Sold

Sigma 15-30mm f/3.5-4.5 EX DG IF Aspherical Ultra Wide Angle Zoom/with case...$350...Sold

I might be interested in this for my son. I've never really checked into the Sigma bodies so could you tell me what lens mount it uses? Is it Sigma's own mount or will maybe a Canon mount work. Reason I ask is I have the exact lens plus two other Sigma lenses that I used on my Canon but they were replaced with Canon lenses. Also which memory card does it use? (SD, CF???) Price seems fair and I can meet you sometime in your area or pay you shipping plus some with a money order, which ever one works for you.

John...Sigma uses a proprietary SA mount....but don't let that stop you..you can pick-up some amazing lenses at a good price...the pictures from the Foveon sensor rock....I shoot with the SD14's.....great camera...most people like the SD9 over the SD10...the only issue I ever had with both was battery life...but you can pick-up other batteries and a grip cheap...if you need any questions answered let me know...here is a good site...www.sigmauserforum.com/forum...

and a picture from my old SD10 same sensor as the SD9...(SD10 was sold)

if you have any other questions please feel free to ask....R.D. sorry for answering your thread...!!!
