SOLD: Canon AE-1 w/ FD 24mm f2.8 - 12-21-2009, 04:09 PM

Canon AE-1 with the FD 24mm f2.8 lens that I loved using so much! But, no longer need it.

Seems the lens catches $100-$150 on eBay and the body about $50-$100.

So, I reason $175 for it all is a nice fair offer.

As with all used gear, please come by and look at it yourself before making a decision - what's "great condition" to me may not be to you, or vice versa!

I am in Spring/Woodlands area (north Houston). Pick up only (no shipping, sorry!) cash or PayPal please. Thanks!!

Thanks!

One wide lens that Canon got right. I love 24mm and this is a very good 24mm lens.

Totally. This lens did me well with candid, family shots in the early days but also excelled in the real estate photography I did in the early to mid 90's.

Yup! Now I'm debating lenses and an F1n to go along with it :-)

Curious. Why wouldn't you want a Nikon film body that shares lenses with your digital bodies?

I'm considering an F5.

But I shot Canon film bodies for almost 30 years, many of those years using manual focus FD lenses on A1/AE-1 and F1/new F1/F1n bodies. Pure nostalgia.

Plus, the FD lenses will work just as well as the Nikkor AI/AIS lenses on my GH1 :-)
