SOLD: Strobist FourSquare SoftBox System - 01-05-2010, 11:46 AM

Hi All,
I have in MINT/LIKE NEW Condition a FourSquare SoftBox Kit. Only used three times. This is perfect for the SERIOUS and/or Up-and-Coming Strobist. Just can't seem to ever get enough power from your Speedlites or wish you had a way to fire multiple Speedlites without your rig looking Ghetto? Wish you had a nice sized softbox to put your Speedlites in and at the same time have the system be versatile? Well, here's your answer..... This System works WONDERFULLY!!!

Click on the link below for COMPLETE details:

Lightware Direct | Introducing the FourSquare?

Made by Grin & Stir, distributed exclusively by LightwareDirect.
New for travel, location or studio strobist! The FourSquare™ is ideal for airline travel with its compact size and light weight. Fits perfectly in a carry on. You can use it as a soft box, a white reflector or with a combination of umbrellas.

The FourSquare™ is made of rugged T6061 hard anodized aluminum. Use it with any combination of four speed-lights. Rotate the heads, bounce the heads or use them as direct. You can also use the two umbrella mounts for a double bounce or just a single umbrella.

A radio receiver can be easily mounted to the outside of the box by means of a hook and loop patch.

It breaks down to a compact 18 inches long and packs neatly in its own carrying pouch.

The Kit Includes:
1 FourSquare™ mount
4 Mount screws
2 Umbrella mount screws
4 collapsible soft box poles. (total of eight pieces)
1 FourSquare™ Soft box (measures approximately 30" x 30")
1 hook and loop front diffusion screen
1 carrying pouch

Note:
Requires a stand adapter with a 1/4 20 or 3/8 16 thread mount, not included with the kit.

BRAND NEW: $250.oo + Shipping
MY PRICE: $200.oo (Local Pick-Up) or $215.oo (PayPal + Shipping)

Yeah, I agree with you Scott, this is one freaking awesome rig.

Question, how does the receiver work in this setup? do you need four receivers for each flash? or is the adapter wired in such a way that you only need one?

The way I had it set up was to connect my Receiver, such as a Pocket Wizard, to one of the Speedlites and set that Speedlite as the Master. Then set the other Speedlites as Slaves. I had everything set to Manual Power. Once the Master fired, because they are all in close proximity to one another, then they would all fire in sync. BTW, you don't always have to use four Speedlites. When the occasion calls, you can use only one Speedlite, or even two. Just depends on your needs. But what's really cool about this system is you can use the Softbox, or umbrellas, or even a Brolly Box. You can also just use it bare and/or bounce it off a wall or ceiling. The possibilities are almost endless......
