Selling like-new Angenieux 35-70 2.5/3.3 with a Leica R mount. This lens can be easily adapted to a Canon EOS mount with an adapter available from B&H, Ebay, and numerous other places, and with the right mount can provide AF confirmation, though you do manually focus lens. This lens was made in the early 80's and purchased by my grandfather, but due to his failing health at the time, I don't think he ever really used it. I have mounted it on my 7D to test it and it works beautifully.
It comes with the original box, presentation case, and all accessories (2 hoods - wide and tight, filter, caps, soft case, instructions). Selling FTF, Houston and cash only.
$400
For more information on this lens and how it performs mounted on Canon, you can check this thread... Manual Focus Lenses :: View topic - Angenieux 2.5-3.3/35-70mm Leica R Mount
Sorry for the less than stellar shots (was in a hurry last night)...the dust on the second shot is on the filter, not internal.

The Leica R to Nikon mount switch is fairly common. However, it's my understanding that the job requires mount replacement. Not an adapter kind of fix.
It sucks to be broke with a new camera.

Wayne, you're right, it is a mount replacement with Nikon - not as easy as just using an adapter with Canon...
Save you pennies, Wayne, I will be posting some Leica R soon - Summicron, Vario-Elmar...
BTW, if someone would like to use this lens on a Leica R camera and shot film with it, I've got a Leica R3 and a R4 body, either of which would make a perfect match. If any interest in the bodies to go with the lens, let me know...

Geeeeeeeeeee. Thanks a lot. I say I'm broke. You offer more tempting baubles.
I wonder how Leica R lenses and a Canon 1D would get along together?
Stovall???????????????

Stovall??????????????? | Ah, but you know, better than anyone else, Leica is always worth selling a pint of blood for (ok, several gallons)
Here you go... CANON LEICA-R COMPATIBILITY DATABASE Leica-R and Leitz-R lenses that work on Canon EOS dSLRs... lots of choices for the 1D or even the 1Ds.

I never thought I'd see an Angenieux here on TPF. Too bad it's in this obscure Leica mount!
Patrick, I believe this lens in this condition is $1,000 on ebay. It would be in a Nikon mount anyway. You might be better off taking it there. It's where all the collectors hang out.

It is a pretty rare item, but it really is a great lens...I don't think of it as a Leica R mount, I think of it as a Canon waiting to happen.
I had not seen them go that high on ebay, but I've rarely seen this particular model posted there. I did notice one today with a "buy it now price" of $1400, which is crazy.
I'm not an ebayer, but I may have to figure it out or find a third party to post it, as without a rating I would probably have a hard time selling it.
Thanks again! | | | |

Rangefinder Forums - It will go fast at that price.
Granted you might have some members a little hesistant of buying from a new member with no "rep" there.
Although, I was able to sell some stuff there after asking a couple people there I know from another forum to vouche for me.
