Sorry...sold it this morning...haven't had time to change the thread.

Bought a 98 subaru outback - did the test drive, no leaks/problems... 30 minutes of inspection and driving...

Started overheating two days later...

Now three weeks later - had a broken axle, power steering started leaking, radiator was 1/2 blocked, water pump, both headgaskets blown (leaking internally), crankshaft seal leak...

4800 for the car (exceptionally low miles) + 3600 for repairs... :(

damn, too late...sorry to hear about your car. I'd have some choice words for the person that sold it to me in that condition.
