I'm in San Antonio. I have a brand new unfired Remington 5R Milspec 308 with Leupold scope. Package is worth about 2k and I'd be willing to trade. I also have an Omega Planet Ocean 42mm ocean worth about 2k. If you're not interested in a trade I may be able to work out a cash deal. Please PM or email mmarkovitch@yahoo.com so we can discuss it. Thanks!

Do you have any Nikon lenses? I had a Canon 50d and really liked it, but circumstances being what they were, I had to sell it. I'm looking at getting another one. What do you think of it compared to the 300s? Maybe we can work something out. Thanks. Feel free to PM me if you don't want to have a conversation here. Mike

Joe, what kind of experimenting are you wanting to do, that the D3ooS can't do? If you don't mind me asking.....

The truth is, I have just decided to switch. My photo friends all have Canon gear and have kept suggesting the switch. There's nothing wrong with Nikon. It's just that I can share lenses with them and since many of them are more experienced, they can guide me along the way when it comes to future Canon purchases. Overall, it would just be more convenient to work with Canon.

I shoot Canon too before I switched to Nikon and my friends said that as well!
I did not have any friends that shot Nikon, but that was fine.... I just worked my tail off to get the nice glass and I love it BETTER than CANON! IMHO and pictures!
Like the Governor said it, You'll BE BACK!

good luck.....you do have a nice Camera body and nice glass, which is the 50 1.4 on the crop body, it makes that 50 more like an 851.4!

Yea i know. I'm still hesitating. I don't know what to do. It may turn out to be a big hassle so once my D300s arrives, I may just open and LOVE it. I'm 50/50 at this point.

Why wouldn't you just send it back to where ever you got it instead of trying to sell it here?

I'm considering it but there are restocking fees and return shipping i will have to pay. If I can get an offer before its gets here then i'll be set and wont lose money.

wait...you don't even have it yet?

I was ready to talk to you about it, but if you don't even have it I strongly suggest at least pulling it out of the box and playing with it.

The reason why Canon GUYS tell you, I will help you if you get a Canon and let you borrow my glass and other accessories.... because they don't want you to have better looking pictures then them! J/K just a joke......

Yea I just received in the mail yesterday evening actually. I opened it so see how it felt and WOW it sure is SOLID. I may consider keeping it and using the money on new glass. If i go out and play with it for awhile, it won't be brand new and i wont be able to sell it as BNIB anymore.
