FS: Canon 85L MKII

It is with much thought/pain/crying that I post this. I am posting my Canon 85L MKII up for sale. I recently bought a new Canon 300mm f/2.8 IS, and to offset the costs I am having to sell some of my lenses. I previously sold my Canon 300mm f/4.0 to a member here, but I'm still needing some more funds, so now I must let go of the 85L.


The lens is in remarkable condition, like new. The hood does have some scuffs, but everything else is in perfect condition. The lens is a UV datecode. You will receive everything everything you would get if you bought it new. That includes box, caps, manuals, lens cover, packing material etc. (I will post pictures later tonight when I get home from work). I highly encourage you to meet up and look at the lens in person, and you can verify it's condition. (my previous buyers can vouch that my descriptions are very accurate).

I am asking $1650 shipped/insured/paypalled to your address. I have sold a number of items on here (check my iTrader feedback). If you want to do a local sale, then I'll let it go for $1600.


The 85L is a lens that lives up to it's reputation. It's a remarkable piece of glass, and one that will TRULY wow you when you shoot with it. I honestly think that I may regret this, and considering that the new price is $1999, this may turn out to be a costly mistake if I have to buy it over again.... someone buy this before I change my mind!!
