Wow, I own this same lens and have gotten some fantastic results with it! The Tamron 28-75 is a real bargain, IMO.

Tony,

Do you have any pictures that you have taken with this lens that you can post?

I second that and I've seen several for sale here lately, just don't understand why.

I sent Tony a pm on this lens. I'm thinking of taking this one off his hands next week when I go to New Braunfels. I'm going to use it for a few months while I continue to save up for either a new body, or the Nikon 24-70.

How do y'all like it? I've been reading a few reviews that say a sharp copy is usually VERY sharp, but its a little slow focusing in extremely low light.

I haven't used mine on extreme low light but that's usually when I shoot dance recitals etc. I actually traded my 50mm 1.8 and cash for mine figuring it would pretty much replace that lens. If I find a need for it again later I'll probably get the 1.4 but just don't see it now.
I really think you'll love the lens and a great pickup.

Sent you a PM Chris.

Only reason I'm getting rid of it is because I was trying to find the 17-50 2.8 Tamron before Germany next month and nobody had it. I bought this one thinking I could make it do in Germany for castle/church/museum interiors and then less than 10 days later I found the 17-50 so I snagged it.

How long have you had this one? Are you the 1st or 2nd owner?

Bought it from Precision Camera on the 18th of June 2010. It was used so I'm the 2nd owner according to the store.
