SOLD: Leica Noctilux f/1.0, E60 w/built in hood - 10-19-2010, 12:21 PM

Leica 50mm f/1.0 Noctilux E60 for sale, the version with the built in hood. 6-bit coded - not sure who did it, but it looks very professionally done (not with just a sharpie).

I would rate the lens in EX condition. A few rub marks on the body, but there is only one that is slightly more serious that is show in the last photo. No marks on either the front or rear lens elements. The spots on the glass you see in the first photo is just dust.

Lens will come with front and rear caps, lens pouch, and original box.

Asking for $5500 total (includes Paypal and insured shipping via UPS). CONUS please.

Awesome, but manual focus on my D700 at f/1.0 would be a b*tch!

Perhaps, one day. My favorite leica lens is the 35 Lux. I hardly even touch my 50 Lux. Tri

Leica film bodies are a bit more affordable. Actually some used M8's (the originals) are even selling under $2000, but I think it's rare to spot one. Or go for a Voigtlander or Zeiss Ikon body. I actually think the Zeiss Ikon is the best M film body in terms of price/performance/elegance (let's face it, when we buy into Leica, we're also paying for the elegance factor )

I don't know if there are any ways of converting this to F-mount...

Which 35 Lux do you use? I have the 35 lux asph v1 but it doesn't focus correctly on my camera (not the focus shift problem, just the more common front/back focus alignment), but I haven't had the chance to send it to DAG...

Tell her it's to kill 2 birds with one stone. I presume you could use it on your NEX with an adapter, and of course with your Leica, so you're actually saving money!

Very nice lens! I would be tempted if I hadn't just sprung for a 50-Lux ASPH. The lens coding looks like it might have been done by Leica.
