SOLD: Nikon 300mm f/4 AF-S ED and Kenko 1.4 Pro TC - 12-19-2010, 08:46 PM

I have for sale a Nikon 300mm f/4 AF-S ED IF telephoto lens. This lens also comes with the excellent Kirk tripod collar specific for this lens, which is a major improvement over the stock Nikon collar, a $150 retail value. I also have the original collar as well. Comes with box, Nikon soft case, and caps. I sent this lens in to Nikon earlier this year for a good cleaning and tune up. It looks and works almost like new. I give it a 9/10, only because of one or two minor blemishes on the barrel. Glass is very clean. This lens is renowned for it's sharpness at an affordable price.
I also have a Kenko 1.4X Teleplus Pro 300 DG teleconverter, which usually stayed on the 300mm. Image quality is very close to the Nikon version, plus the Kenko allows automatic operation with many more lenses the Nikon TC won't do.
I would like to sell the lens and TC together for $1100.00, including shipping/paypal.
If I split them up, the lens is $1000.00, and the Kenko TC $125.00. I would be willing to meet face to face in the Houston or Austin areas, if you would like to check them out personally before purchase.
I am only selling because I have completely converted over to Canon, and have no Nikon camera to use it on.

I even have the Nikon 1.7. Every time I get ready to pull the trigger on this combo, I chicken out.

Two recommendations here- I have this lens with my Nikon setup and use it with both my Kenko1.4X & Nikon 1.7X. The IQ is outstanding with both combos! The 1.7 will slow down the AF just a little, but still gives oustanding IQ
Jump on it Drew, you will love it. The "poor man's 500{using the 1.7X with the 300}"works great if you can live with a little slower AF.
Second recommendation is for seller-Doesn't get any better than dealing with Sid!!!
