I have a D300 that I purchased from a TPF member here several months ago and I am interested in going to full frame at this point.
I have read where people have gone to Full Frame then desired to switch back to DX for certain reasons, and there is always the possibility someone may need to make a change to put some money in their pocket, who knows. But I thought I would post up just in case.
My D300 is in excellent shape and it has a current shutter count of only 15605. It lives in my Lowepro Slingshot 200AW all the time - doesn't even sit out when in the house, and I do not shoot in any wet conditions and I have mostly used it indoors. I never leave it in my car so it is never subjected to temperature extremes (if it is really cold out, it only stays outside as long as I can stand it and I am not a fan of cold weather!). I've never dropped it or banged it into anything or anything like that. It is definitely pampered. It is an awesome camera and I really don't want to part with it, but I can not afford to keep it AND get a Full Frame camera, so ...
If interested, contact me and let me know the information about your camera and what you have in mind and we can discuss further.
I live in Tyler, so meeting in Dallas would not be a problem. If you are from Houston area or Austin/San Antonio area, we could meet somewhere in between. I would think that meeting in person would be best so we could both inspect/test/etc... the other's equipment before finalizing the deal.
I would consider selling, but I have not really put much thought into that at this point. But if intersted in purchasing out right, go ahead and contact me and we can discuss.
here is a photo of the camera (not really interested in getting rid of the 50mm f/1.4 lens, though I do have a DX only lens I might consider parting with in the right circumstances)
Thanks for looking,
Todd
