I have been thinking of a DR1 but I am a little confused about one thing. I really love the idea that the RS7 has two bumpers. One to stop the camera from going too far back and one you can slide down and keep the camera in the back. When I look on Black Rapid's website two of the photos seem to have only one bumper per side, one of the photos clearly shows two bumpers per side.

Can you check your DR1 and see if it has two bumpers per side? Thanks!

Hey Allan, I guess I don't know what you mean by bumpers.

Steve,

When you put the straps on, there is a metal "bumper" that you can release and then clamp back on wherever you like. When you are shooting and "drop" the camera back to your side, this "bumper" is what stops if from going too far back or pushes the shoulder pad back into place.

To put it another way..... There is a nylon strap that makes a loop from the pad in the back to the pad in the front. On the loop on all the single straps BR makes except the RS7 there are only two items on this loop, the hook that attaches to your camera, and the bumper. On the RS7 there are three items on the loop, the hook and two bumpers, one in front of the hook, one behind it.

You can see on Black Rapid's website for the RS5 the bumper adjustment RS-5 R-Strap BlackRapid.com at 1:15 in on the video.

Ok, This one has two adjustable bumpers per side, a front and a back bumper. Sorry I didn't know what you were talking about, I never used the strap. Thanks for the video.
