Price Drop!! Tamron 200-500 for Canon

Up for sale is my recently acquired Tamron 200-500 f/5-6.3. I got this in a trade on POTN a little under a month ago. My wife and I had just relocated across the country and unfortunately, my new job here didn't get me started right away as expected and almost a month later im just getting started, with a couple weeks until i get my first paycheck still. Needless to say, bills continue to be due and don't wait on paychecks! I need to go ahead and sell this lens to try to cover a few bills until my checks start rolling in again. I've literally used it maybe twice in the backyard since getting it in the trade, so i am going to just copy the info from the original FS thread that has all of the info.

The lens retails for $949 new at B&H. This comes with everything a new one would come with and is in great condition.

I am asking $675obo. Need to sell soon to cover bills coming up around the 15th. Hate to sell this lens, as it is a great bargain for 500mm. Also, its f/5.6 all the way to 450mm! Lightweight considering the length but very well built.

Lens Body Condition: excellent, 9/10 (scuffs only on tripod ring)

Lens Glass Condition: 9.5/10 (1-2 tiny specks of dust inside front element)

Sale Includes: Lens, front/rear caps, tripod ring, carry case, manual, warranty card (Still under the original 6-year warranty).


Great condition, near mint except for tripod ring scuffs. Has been to Tamron recently for under warranty cleaning and groups/elements realignment. All sample pics were taken after this warranty trip to Tamron.

This is an underrated, inexpensive "sleeper" wildlife lens for those who don't shoot much fast action nature shots. AF is not very suitable for that (no USM or HSM). Otherwise surprisingly sharp even at 450-500mm wide open. Also it's f/5.6 UP TO 450mm!

The following pics were in the original sale thread and are not my photos. However, the lens is in the same condition, as i have only used it a couple of times to shoot some hummers in the backyard.
