Minolta AF 1.4× APO II - I think it is this one...

The body says Minolta Maxxum AF 1.4x Tele Converter APO 14201440 (five-pin so not SSM one)

Hmmm. That is the model they recommend for the Minolta High Speed G series.

I would get the Tamron AF SP-Pro it should be the 7 or 8 pin version for HS G lenses...

The HS G are only 5 pin. The SSM G would require the 8 pin.
