I bought this lens a couple of years ago because David Kilpatrick says it beats the Sony 70-200/2.8 HSM. It does perhaps focus faster, and the IQ is similar, but the caveat is that it doesn't have the Sony's focus limiter switch. For sports that makes the two about a wash. So I have finally decided to keep the Sony and sell the Sigma.
If you want a fast 70-200/2.8 without spending the bucks for the Sony, this is what you want!
This lens has probably been used for
fewer than 500 shots.
Scratch that - I just used it for another 480 shots and it was great! It has just returned from Sigma's service facility with the SLT mount applied, so it is ready to go for the a55, a33, a35, a65 or a77 SLT cameras as well as other Sony and Konica-Minolta SLRs.
The sale includes the box, the Sigma padded case, the caps, etc.
I'd consider a trade for a Sigma 24-70/2.8 HSM in Sony/Alpha mount or a Sony/CZ 24-70/2.8 plus cash.
