Canon 28-80 Mk1 (metal mount, DoF window) sell/trade

Little used original Canon mk1 28-80/f3.5-5.6. This is not the low-end kit version, the Mk1 is a metal mount, DoF window, USM and FTM; as such it is quite a bit larger and heftier than the version that came later. Excellent condition. Both caps, UV filter, no box.

Note: will trade even for good condition Canon 50/1.8. I am selling this to buy that for my son, so if you want to save me a step or two I would be appreciative....

Collectors' note: this lens once was the photo used for the Wiki article for the Canon 28-80 family of lenses. Own a piece of history! (no added cost to you!)

Would you consider donating it to a high school?
I had a camer body, a 10d donated over the summer, but with only a long lens. I'd like to get it checked out to a student, but need a short lens.
