I am needing an iPad 1st or 2nd gen. cheap as possible for my mom. She goes to dialysis and this is the only thing she can do in there with one hand. If 1st generation, it needs to be able to download the free Farkle game.

I guess it is too late now, but you may want to consider a kindle. I am a huge fan of of the iPad...have two of them. But after watching my wife deal with the iPad weight for a year reading on it, despite openly critizing anybody who would get a kindle, decided they are bloody lite!

She now has both...and uses them equally and effectively.

This one is a tad heavier than my ipad2, but she will just use it with the stand in her lap. I thought about the kindle fire but it was too small for her, she's 83 and can't see very well so bigger was better. Craig's price was very fair and he had even upgraded the ios system and threw in the otter case as well. It works perfectly and I'm happy setting it up for her. We've had a hard few months, my father died end of October and we're on our 2nd caregiver, plus she lives 300 miles from me North of Dallas so I am so glad this deal worked out. I bought a cheaper android pad but it was not user friendly.
