Battery 1

50.00
I bought these three knowing that they all had dead 1.5 volt D-sized sealed lead acid battery cells. The battery cells are expensive when you have to buy 3 of them for each battery pack. Being a hobbyist, I knew that I could replace these with 6 volt brick-style batteries such as those sold by places like Altex Electronics. The 6 volt battery pictured here fits loosely inside the case. Adding a bit of foam rubber keeps it snug. I only experimented with one of the cases by soldering battery tab connectors to the existing red and black wiring under the panel. The wall charger charged it up good, and it tested to full charge with a voltmeter. I intended to use these to power my flashes but one day, I got sick, lost a little but not all interest in photography, returned back to another hobby, and never finished the other two cases. These three Quantum Battery 1 systems, two wall chargers, and the 6 volt battery need a new home. To make these 3 serviceable will require two 6 volt batteries, a small pack of connectors, some wire snippers, the proper cables for your flash gun and a little assembly time. The taped Gates battery cell examples shown in the picture are dead and have since been disposed of. I am asking $50 for all of them pictured here. You will have to pay for shipping about 18 ounces. I prefer PayPal. If you have any questions, PM me. Thanks for looking.
