Hello, my name is Kyle. I am an addict. I am addicted to Nikon.
After selling off nearly all of my Nikon stuff to get into Canon's video madness, I somehow picked up an F2AS (sold) and some manual focus glass, then my dream camera - the F5, now I have more Nikon stuff than Canon stuff! Normally this would be a good problem to have, but I can't honestly say it makes financial sense for me to maintain both brands. (read: save me from buying more! haha)
If anyone is interested, I will be taking pictures of the gear soon, as it will be headed to ebay if not sold soon. I have no problem shipping as long as we do the transaction through paypal. If you pay for shipping, I will take the paypal hit.
Nikon F5 ($250):
Had an F100 back in the day, thought it couldn't get better. After I shot the F5, I never want an F100 again. This camera had a bad power board when I bought it, so I swapped it out and it's been fantastic since.
Nikon 24mm 2.8 AI ($150):
Focus spins well, aperture is snappy, clean glass, clean paint. Not much to say, other then it I can't believe I did not get one sooner.
Nikon 55mm 2.8 Micro ($125):
Focus is a bit stiff compared to the 24mm. Every sample of this lens I have seen is this way, so I am not sure if this is abnormal or if it is, it effects all of the 55 micro's. Clean glass, snappy blades, clean outside.
Nikon SB-26 ($120):
Clean, good foot, has pouch. This is worth it for the optical slave alone! I have a 3 pin TTL to hotshoe mini chord that I use to have this flash trip other flashes.
I also have two normal zooms, a Nikon 35-105 AF and a Canon 28-105 USM if anyone is interested, they are just occupying shelf space over here.
PS: I mean no disrespect to AA/CR, if anything I'm only half joking!
