you may want to give ebay a shot. They have lots of them listed. If you see any samsung, that is what i would get.

How soon do you need it? I should have some machines I'm not using anymore with that type of memory in them, I'll take a look. If you still need them shoot me a PM and let me know.

EDIT: Looks like I spoke too soon. I can't seem the find the memory I had.

Hope you find something.

Well I got one, but my Dell did not like it. It just locked up on reboot. Does anyone have an idea why this might be?

look at the ram that was in your PC. Make sure it is PC-133. If that is the case, then remove the old ram, and try to boot up with the new one.

If that works, then there might be a compatability issue with the one you purchased and the old ram. What brand did you wind up getting? I ask this because if you remember i recommended Samsung. It seems to be the most compatible one.

Let me know how this goes. I may have some 256 meg PC133, but i can tell you now, they are high end Samsung.

AG

I do not know what brand it is. It has a Frys Label on it. But I have been offered to return it for my money back.

How much are you talking about for the Samsung?

I will take the cover off and see what brand is in the machine now and let you know.

Thanks
Darrell

Samsung will for for about 75.00 for a 256meg. I have seen them on ebay for about 40.00. So check there first. Also don't forget to verify what you have in the machine before you buy.

Here are some i have found on there:

http://cgi.ebay.com/256-MB-samsung-P...QQcmdZViewItem
