any idea what i could get for: (all in mint cond.)
-Canon AE1
-Canon 28/f2.8
-Canon 50/f1.8
-Tokina 70-210/f4.5-5.6
-Pentax ME Super
-Pentax 80-200/f.4-5.6
-Pentax 50/f1.8

I love film, but I'd like to get maybe a Leica with a wide prime...and not sure if i can break even with this...anyone have any estimates?

Check KEH.com for used equipment prices--their stuff has markup, so take around 25% off for real world used pricing.

Once you register with KEH, you can also get detailed quotes for each item by answering a checklist of questions. Very helpful info, though I agree that they give lowball prices. They were going to offer me $175 for a near mint Nikon F100. It will stay on my shelf.

Would the Canon lenses be EF mount? If so I might like the 28mm for my 10d.

Is that 28 EF mount? I just bought the 50/f1.8 for $86 last month, but that 28 might be interesting if it's EF mount???

Best regards,

They're FD mount (same as the AE-1 body).

FD mount like daniel said, but dangit, I wish it was EF mount, seems to be alot of interest in it!

It's a great lens, very sharp, very easy to manual focus.

I decided to keep all the stuff because the sentimental value outweighs the monetary value.

You can also go to ebay and look at the recent auction results for various equipment. Should give you a pretty accurate idea of the street value of most gear.

Film gear is currently selling for a tiny fraction of its original value. Sad, but that's how it is. Lenses are doing better, depending on how new they are. Non-cpu lenses not worth much, unless they are pretty special though.

Film lenses are doing very well if they are Rangefinder LST or M mount as M8 and R-D1 owners are grabbing them up.

Keep it, and use it! That Ae-1 is one of the two slr's I cut my teeth on 15 yrs ago. I used that and the Pentax Program Plus. All around, I liked the Pentax, and it was my first love , but it was hard to beat the AE-1 for exposure metering, and it was always my choice for BW. Really, dust it off, load up some good BW, and go wild!

Maybe if I can find them and get my scanner working, I'll upload some BW from a twilight graveyard shoot with a Goth model.

Oh believe me I have been....can someone tell me why my free film SLR from 1976 meters better than my 2006 model Nikon slr? It makes amazing B&W's i've shot a ton of rolls with it, it stays in my camera backpack with me at all times with the 28 on it.
