Man I just had a chance to test a used one yesterday at a friend...the D2X is a SOLID camera, much better metering/focus system than my 30D canon...wish I had the money heheh.

D2X is very nice, only if I'm brave enough to switch the my whole system. LOL.

Actually I'm getting two D2X's, a 17-35/2.8, a 70-200/2.8 VR, and some other gear. Courtesy of the 55th Combat Camera supply sergeant, of course.

Well, I'll get all that after about a year of training. Wish me luck.

I am sorry...Just being the resident smart arse. I actually think the D2X is a great camera...I hope Nikon picks up the pace and continues to challenge Canon's pro line. I use to be a Nikon shooter and have nothing but good things to say about them. They didn't fit my low-light needs as well as Canon at the time, but I have no doubt that Nikon will continue to improve in that area as they did with the D200. I am a real fan of both systems.

I was talking with PeteQ about this yesterday. Our thoughts are that even though Nikon is making a killing compared to Canon in the consumer/prosumer line, they just about have to come out with a competitive pro body just to keep the street cred. I just hope it compares favorably if and when it gets here, or I too will move to the dark side eventually.
