Edited: I ended up going to Competitive Camera and buying it. Spent an extra $20 and I ended up not needing it until probably monday. :(

I have often asked questions about lenses and looked for suggestions and have even said numerous times that I am going to get this lens. Now it's coming to crunch time. I'm looking to have this lens for an upcoming shoot and would GREATLY appreciate anyone who might have one they are willing to part with!

I have a 50mm 1.8 that I'm not willing to part with (I just got it and LOVE IT), but I'd be willing to let you borrow it if you get in a pinch. I haven't taken it off my D-80 since the night I picked it up.

A new one should be less than $140...so it's one of the best deals out there!

Thanks Geoffrey! I may end up taking you up on it but I may head out to Fort Worth Camera tomorrow to pick the ONE they have left up. I have seen those on EBAY and would get one but I don't know if I'd be able to get it in time.

I bought mine at Competitive Camera. I thiink it sold for $129. They have more, I believe. You just have to tolerate a rude, arrogant, little Lebanese fellow.

BTW...I'm looking to buy a Nikon 70-210 D. If you know of or run across information on one for sale please post it I lurk here daily.

I'm in Coppell and have a f/1.4 (not a f/1.4D, but works with any Nikon digital body that the 1.4D does) that you can have as fast as you can get here.

$225 and it's yours. I've been meaning to sell it, just too lazy/busy.

Call Competitve Camera in Dallas, chance are they will have it. Don't expect them to haggle price and they will likely be slightly higher than online pricing, but as is the best part about local dealers, you will get it today.

Even with B&H an hour away from me I miss dealing with the CC guys. Always treated me right and I did a lot of business with them. With B&H you are just one of a million customers, they couldn't care less...

Sounds like me! Just got the same 50mm 1.8 and put it on my D80 and still loving it!
