Mine went for $800 a few months back. It was an import (gray market) version, but was mint and had a transferable Mack warranty with it.

KEH sells new for $1019.00 and I see they have a used one in Excellent+ condition for $919.00. I have seen them on other forums going for $900-$1000.

Janet, I think 50 bucks would be a good price and I will drive right down and pick it up.

If you would like, I can meet you somewhere and pick up your 85 1.4. I will keep it safe with my gear, and use it occasionally so that it doesn't feel neglected. Then when you realize you miss it, I will meet you to return it.

It's amazing how much 1 f-stop costs. I just bought a Nipon Kogaku Nikkor-P 85mm//2.0 lens (a Zeiss Sonnar copy) in Leica thread mount for $200.

Janet, Alan's plan may not be too far fetched. Most of us regret selling really nice lenses.

Wayne, thanks for the support. BTW, I was at Wal-Mart the other day and picked up a 50 pack of the Zeiss wipes for $2.97 in the optical shop.
