I've been using the Tamron 17-35 F2.8-4 for a few months now. The image quality on APS sensor sized cameras is excellent. I hear it's not as good on a full frame cameras though. Anyway it stays on my 10D most of the time and I'm looking forward to seeing what it can do with the 40D soon.
