REDUCED - FS: Canon 14L, Contax50,70-200, 80, Tamron 28-300, Tokina 300, 4/3rds SLR - 11-10-2007, 01:19 PM

Prices Reduced for quick sale. I would like to sell the equipment at the earliest and am open to reasonable offers.

All Lenses are Canon EF Mount unless specified otherwise

All gear has been babied - minimal wear if any. Most of the lenses are practically new due to lack of use. Gear was used as a hobby and not professionally. All lenses are USA versions – not gray market or B-stock. As the original owner, I can include copies of the sales invoices for the items still under warranty. Comes with boxes and original accessories as noted below.

I offer a discount if you buy two or more items.

Panasonic L-1 - 4/3rds D-SLR: LNIB/Mint condition. Only a few months old. Less than 200 actuations. Still under warranty. Live view allows AF and dynamic range is slightly better than 30D or similar bodies. Excellent build quality and a pleasure to shoot with.
Includes L-1 body - black, body cap, eyepiece, strap, cables, blank warranty card, instructions and other paperwork. Will include an extra after market battery purchased from Best Buy ($40 value).
Can include Olympus 14-45mm f3.5-5.6 and / or 40-150mm f3.5-4.5 with the SLR as a kit if buyer is interested.
Asking: $500 for body and extra battery – includes shipping

Includes box, paperwork, hood, and lens
Asking: $260 shipped
Link to pictures of item: http://www.pbase.com/fkt2005/image/88617628

Contax Carl Zeiss Planar N-Mount 50mm f1.4 T*: LN/Mint condition. Was used on my N1/Nx SLRs and performed flawlessly. Sharp copy wide open and colors and contrast are typical Zeiss. Will be the perfect 50mm normal lens once converted to EF mount.

John....
I have a 17-35mm f2.8 N, 2 x 24-85mm f3.5-4.5 N, and 2 x 70-300mm f4-5.6 N. All include original Contax/Zeiss hoods (have spare original/new hoods for all three as well).

I have not decided to sell these yet or for how much. Since it is going to be very hard to find these and the prices will go up once the higher megapixel D-SLR's like the 1Ds Mk III arrive, I am trying hard to decide if I should keep them or let them go. The 17-35N and 24-85N really have no equal when it comes to resolution or colors/contrast.... among other things.

Maybe nuts.... but once you use one (a good copy that is), it is really hard to go back to using the Canon L's. :)

Bo-ming does not support the 50 yet but expects to get the conversion done/available in the next 6-8 months. Once he does, the prices should go up more.... especially for a good copy.

Bo-Ming is the guy who developed/designed the mount conversion from Contax/Zeiss N-Mount to Canon EF mount. Once he gets through all of them, it will let you use all the N-Mount and Contax 645 lenses on Canon EF mount bodies with full autofocus and auto-aperture.

The N-Mount and Contax 645 lenses are legendary Zeiss optics - around 3-4 times the resolving power of the typical Canon L lenses. They sold for ridiculously high prices when Contax/Zeiss was at their peak. These lenses have the superior micro-contrast and provide the typical Zeiss look with excellent resistance to flare, vignetting, etc. etc. Once Canon SLR's push the limits of resolution (some already have with the 1Ds Mk II and 1Ds Mk III), Canon lenses have a tough time holding up to the amazing detail the Zeiss lenses are capable of.

Search www.fredmiranda.com alternative forums for more information and sample images of what these lenses can do.
