FS: Pentax K100D + 16-45mm + other lenses, flash, misc. - 01-14-2008, 04:41 PM

The following items up for grabs:

Pentax K100D - $279 <----- PRICE DROP!!!
gently used, virtually like new, including body cap
Okay, significant price drop here!!! + I will throw in two (2) 1-Gig Kodak SD cards. Actually, I'll throw in a 2-Gig SD card as well, but it has been acting up lately, so you may not find that one useful. I will also throw in an electronic locking cable release.
No pics of the camera itself since it's the only digital camera I have, but here's a snap of the cable release. The catch of the price drop is that I would prefer that you send me a money order or check/cheque to avoid PayPal fees on this particular item.

Pentax 16-45mm/4 - $325 SOLD
excellent lens, as sharp wide open as stopped down, pristine condition, has had filter on it since originally purchased. Includes the lens hood. I don't think I still have the original box on this one.

Pentax SMC-FA 50mm/1.7 - $100 SOLD
I have seen even the non-autofocus A versions of the 50mm lenses go for over $100 on ebay sometimes. I'm not asking more for this AF lens because it does have a cosmetic flaw that might bother some people: there is a chip out of the filter ring. That part is plastic and there is simply a small chip missing, but it doesn't affect the ability to attach filters in any way, and the optics are perfect and it's a good sharp lens w/ no other problems.

Quantaray 70-300mm/4-5.6 - $40

bought from Erich, pretty decent lens for what it is, barrel a little scuffed up here and there but optics are fine, includes basic UV filter which I'll include for no extra charge. Just noticed that I managed to get a piece of dog hair on the rear element in that photo -- doh! Dog hair included at no additional cost!! :-P

Vivitar 285HV - $65
Literally like new in box -- including originally packaging and all original accessories that came with it (wide angle attachment and special little Vivitar PC connector). I have used it on my Pentax K100D, so I can vouch that it is safe for DSLR.

Hoya R72 Infrared filter for 67mm - $45 SALE PENDING

Title pretty much says it all. I have been really happy w/ the K100D for infrared by the way -- you can actually handhold most stuff if you give your eyes enough time to adjust to seeing through the filter.

RF Wireless Flash Transmitter (16-channel version) - $SOLD
Despite the bad luck some people have had with these guys, this one has been a stellar performer. No complaints whatsoever.

Also, anyone need some computer components? I found an AMD Athlon Sempron 2600+ processor and an ATI X550 128MB PCI-express video card laying around if anybody wants 'em for a couple bucks.

I'll entertain other offers, but I think the prices are in a pretty good ballpark. I'll ship anywhere in the world; if you're outside the USA, we'll just have to figure out what the postage would be. In the USA, any of this stuff would fit in a Priority Flat Rate box, so you can figure postage accordingly. Paypal will be fine or I'll accept check or money order.

Feel free to make me an offer if you think the prices are out of line. I think they're pretty fair, but I'm willing to negotiate a little. Would really prefer to sell to someone on here than hassle with ebay and so forth.

I'm interested in the 50mm lens. You mind sending or posting a pic of it? Just out of curiosity, why are you selling everything? And how did you like the k100d?

It's a great camera -- if you check out my Flickr page, everything on the first 13 or 14 pages is done with the K100D. The image quality is great -- I've made perfect 12x18" prints on ISO400 and they held up perfectly. And the shake reduction works every bit as well as advertised as far as I'm concerned. Basically I am just getting out of the DSLR business for a while -- I could use the extra $ at the moment and I may just pick up an inexpensive little point & shoot for snapshots.

I will see about posting some pics of everything here in a day or two if you can wait. I will probably do it Thursday late afternoon when I'll have a little more free time if you can wait until then?

Thanks for looking!

I agree the K100d is a great camera. I actually purchased and returned a Nikon D40, a rebel XT and an XTI before purchasing the k100d. And I agree, the shake reduction works really well. I can definitely wait 'till Thursday for the pics. In the meantime... I call dibs on the lens! :-)

I'll second (3rd) that motion on the K100D, got to shoot one when the shutter in my DL blew. I'd be using it had I not gone for the K10D. I'd really be going for the 16-45 except I promised myself not to spend any money on a system I'm moving away from. :[

Okay fellas, I'm gonna put photos on hold until Friday late morning/early afternoon. I just now got home from orchestra rehearsal, and I'm pretty wiped out.

I'm moving to Canon. Keeping the K10D and DL setup until I have a complete Canon build though. For now the Pentax is my wide angle stuff. I've got a few gems in the Pentax dept. though, like the Tokina 80-200/2.8 MF, which is an awesome piece of glass.

And now, back to the original topic.

Bump ... pics added!

Plus some serious price droppage & bonuses on the K100D body -- throwing in a couple memory cards & a cable release.
