SOLD: Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 D AF lens - $100 - 05-06-2008, 02:01 PM

I bought this at camera co-op a month or so ago, and then was given one by a friend as a gift, don't need two of them.

This lens was mounted on my d200 and tested once, maybe 25-30 shots, and has been in my bag since. not NIB, but as close as it gets. Includes non-filled out paperwork.

As a traditional AF lens (not gelded as a G), it works with every Nikon ever made, digital and film, auto and manual focus.

It's a full-coverage FX lens, so it works great on FX digital, DX digital and film.

It won't autofocus on the D40 or D40x, but it won't autofocus on an F3 either!

See Nikon Lens Compatibility for details for older cameras. See the "AF, AF-D" column.

Thanks Don...However, I have a feeling you aren't going to want to let me borrow it for my trip to Europe from July - Oct. Haha. That was my main reason to get it. I figured that a lot of the churches and such wont let me use flash inside. So I figured it would be a great lens for that.

Now, on the other hand...you don't by chance have a 300mm f/2.8 lens lying around anywhere do you? I only ask because I was able to get credentials to shoot at the Frisco Rough Riders stadium on Thursday night...but I have been having a hard time getting a hold of that lens.

I do have a manual focus 50mm 1.8 that I will no longer need. With your young eyes it should work for you. I just can't seem to be able to focus it consistently. You are welcome to use it for your trip.

The only long lens I have is the 80-200 2.8, but you probably already have one of those.

I'm upgrading from a manual focus that I have had for several years.
