I just upgraded the RAM in my new Mac Pro, so I'm selling the OEM APPLE RAM. It is fully buffered, ECC (error code correcting) 800MHz DDR2 PC6400 FB-DIMM. They come as a pair, 2x 1GB sticks. If you have a new Mac Pro and want to bump your RAM up to a more reasonable 4GB (they typically come with 2GB) then this is a great opportunity. Adding a 3rd and 4th stick of RAM greatly improves system performance and allows you to take full advantage of the 256bit wide architecture (see below from Apple). Asking $100 firm! APPLE CHARGES $500 FOR THIS UPGRADE!!! If you need it installed, I am an AppleCare Certified Technician and have paperwork to prove it. email jacob@appleguyofdallas.com

PS: If you decide to buy aftermarket RAM, BE CAREFUL! The Mac Pro requires very specific JEDEC certified RAM. Most computers will take any RAM you can fit in, NOT THE MAC PRO! If the heat sinks are insufficient, the RAM will over heat and the computer will slow itself down to prevent failure, or crash. THIS IS GENUINE APPLE RAM!!!!!!!

"The Mac Pro now uses faster 800MHz DDR2 fully buffered ECC memory, an industry-standard memory technology that allows for more memory capacity, greater bandwidth, and better reliability. To take full advantage of the 256-bit-wide memory architecture, FOUR OR MORE FB-DIMMs should be installed in the Mac Pro.

Please note: Apple created a more robust thermal specification for the Mac Pro FB-DIMM heat sinks that provide more efficient cooling than many other FB-DIMMs. These FB-DIMMs require less airflow to stay cool and allow the internal fans to spin at slower speeds, improving system acoustics. FB-DIMMs made by other manufacturers that do not include a sufficient heat sink may cause the fans to run faster (and louder) or the memory chips to run slower so as not to overheat."
