Yesterday my Nokia E62-1 got soaked and I dont think it's going to recover. Im hoping that someone here has an old one they dont use that they would be willing to sell me fairly cheap. I dont care what kind it is, just needs to be AT&T compatible and uses a SIM card.

Crossing my fingers!

Um, no. I think that's a little more (ok a lot more) than it would be for me just to buy another Nokia. But thanks anyway.

You might try going to the AT&T Web site and checking out the refurbished phones.

I bought a Blackberry Curve 8300, factory refurbed by AT&T with new battery and warranty, for ... drumroll please ... $5 (with instant Internet rebates included). At the time, new ones were still going for about $199. The $5 one was for my wife, and I went back a few months later to get a refurbed one for myself and it was $40, I think. There are several different models available at any particular time, and there might be a Nokia just like or similar to the one you lost.

Good luck!

I hate cell phones!

Thanks for the info Todd, but I did go to their website and sure didnt find any deals like that. My husband tried to talk me into waiting until tomorrow when the new iphones come out and getting one of those, but I didnt want to spend the money after I checked our upgrade status (no discounts on upgrades for us until October). I ended up on ebay, got another phone like the one that got wet for about $125. I hope the new one is as tough as the old one, Im hard on phones.

I dont mind cell phones, as long as I dont have to talk on them..... text messaging is the best thing ever!

Awesome!

I rarely talk on my phone, either. I read more than half my e-mail on it.

Thank you Michael, but I just went ahead and stopped being cheap and ordered a new one. I appreciate it though.

Well, it may be too late, but I can tell you it took my phone SEVERAL days to dry out after a little unplanned dip in the pool and then it worked fine. I was on my way to the Sprint store to replace it when it came back on. Maybe yours will still come back to life, although now you may not need it.

Hey Lisa!! It will come on, but the screen is shot. I put it in a bag of rice to dry it out, then directly in front of a fan for a looong time, no luck. We got rid of our house phone ages ago, so not having a phone isnt an option. Ill keep my old phone for spare parts just in case I ever need it.
