I may get flogged for this but I think sony makes better flashes than nikon. I would compare this flash to the sb-600 and it is sweet. Totally diggin the wireless and the HSS. I love that it does HSS (high speed sync) wirelessly. I cant remember if nikon does that with CLS but I love it. It has replaced my SL-150 as my main strobe.
I hadn't posted it. It is just sitting in the box. The Nikons have a sweet flash controller built into the camera that you need the 58 series flash to do on the Sony. It is a killer flash, I just wish there was a cheaper controller.

With the 58s and 42s you can do two seperate off camera groups with different ratios. Very handy. You can do it on camera with the Nikon.

Apologies to the OP. =)

Huh, thats cool. Okay, didnt know that.

Of course, You can always just tweak them manually. :) My plan is to just buy HVL 42's from now on instead of strobes. Their cheaper than alienbees and I can control them wirelessly.

It is handy, but (BACK ON TOPIC) with a 50 f/1.4 you wouldn't need the flash as much!

I would totally buy it if I could spare the 2bills. I will probobly buy tony's 50mm 1.7 and save a bill. I dont shoot low light very often and dont really have a need for 1.4. When im inside I use off camera strobes and when im outside Im shooting in daylight so it would be wasted on me.

How much?
$30.00 shipped.

Doesn't do me any good just sitting around.

My other 35-70 has the auto-focus macro mod done to it.
