I've got the 1.7 and it is awesome so the 1.4 has to be better.

You need it. You have no fast primes.

My first lenses were the 18-70 kit, 70-210 f/4 (after a short used 70-300 Sigma), 50 f/1.7 and eventually 28-75 f/2.8.

Yeeeeeaaaaaaaahhhhh but I just spent $300 on my new sony flash and the wifey probobly wouldnt appreciate me spending even more money, you know what I mean. I would rather get a 28 or a 35 due to the crop factor. To get closer my 70-210 does the trick.

I bought a 28mm f/2.8 and it is a sweet lens.
The colors are unreal.

Pick one up if you get a chance. They're relatively inexpensive.

I've got an extra 35-70mm f/4 if you're looking for a great deal.

Didnt know you had it for sale dude. Ehh, I kinda like my new flash. I really like it actually. No, take that back, I LOVE it. Its such a sweet flash. I may get flogged for this but I think sony makes better flashes than nikon. I would compare this flash to the sb-600 and it is sweet. Totally diggin the wireless and the HSS. I love that it does HSS (high speed sync) wirelessly. I cant remember if nikon does that with CLS but I love it. It has replaced my SL-150 as my main strobe.
