I bought a Crumpler 2 million dollar home bag for my Olympus E-P1 "Pen" kit (zoom lens, 17mm, and FL-14 flash). This is my first Crumpler bag and I liked it so much and went out and bought a Crumpler messenger bag.
Anyhoo...here are some shots of how to pack a small kit into a small bag.
Here's all the gear laid out on the table, along with my Pentax K20D for scale:
First, the 17mm pancake lens tucks into the bottom of one of the main compartments. (Or, the 17mm could stay on the body and the kit zoom could go here.)
Next, the FL-14 flash goes in on top of the lens:
The Pen with 14-42mm lens attached goes into the other main compartment.
Spare batteries and cards go into the front pocket.
Then the main flap closes.
The main flap is held closed by a strap, and by 2 velcro panels. If you don't want the sound of velcro, there are hidden "felt" patches underneath the hooks and can be pulled out and pressed down on the hooks to prevent the flap from sticking. You still have the strap and latch to keep it secured. Pretty handy if you're in a quiet place.
All in all, this is a nice little bag for small cameras and a few accessories. You can see the full Flickr set (a few more pictures)
