ISO: A Great "Sack Bag" - 08-07-2009, 12:33 PM

I need something I can swing over the head with one master flap, where I can pull things out of without a backpack type of zip-style. I know they are out there, just can't find them. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the messenger bag style. Call Courierware. they will even customize their bags for you. Made in USA too. Can't beat that.

Let us know what you find.

Amanda,

Keep us posted. I'm going to ask Santa for a bag. I'm very interested in the Courierware bags.

I like those bags, but hell... for THAT amount of money ($215) I'll buy the fabric and sew my own! WHY oh WHY are camera bags so flippin expensive?

They don't start at $215 do they? Anything decent will be at least a $100. You could shop army surplus and add your own padding.

Priced Billingham bags? Used they are too expensive. Domkes seem to be a bit more reasonable and made in the USA. The last part scores high with me.

I don't mind paying. I'm just picky. It has to be just what I need in cute girlie colors. Spoiled brat = me.

Elisa Lou designs? Anyone used her?

Okay, for all you girlie photographers... here's the one I'm getting.

I have a laptop bag from her. It's sturdy, nice, and the inside is padded with corduroy. I figure, for this price, if I don't like it, I can just use it for something else.
