Well Happy Fathers Day. Yeah, came a little early. I have been using my slingshot 300aw for years. Great bag but I simply out grew it. Funny, when I got the thing I thought, damn this this is huge. Well, I'm heading on a photo vacation this weekend for a week up in NM and the wife and kids got me the Expedition 800 from Tamrac. This bag is a beast. It holds all my camera gear all 35 pounds of it, including a 17" HP Laptop. Throw in a 4/5 lbs tripod and it easily reaches around 40lbs. This bag is one that will not disappoint. I have two cameras mounted with 70-200 and the other with a 24-70 and they fit in there no problem along with every other thing a photographer could possible need to play with.

Basically this is a huge bag it feels pretty darn comfortable on your back. They even make one larger the 900 series.

I may need to hire a camera bag caddie!

I'm to old' and lazy to carry this much gear around, but you know what it is sure going to beat the hell out of carrying 4-5 separate bags for all my digital stuff in and out of hotels, planes etc....

5 Stars for this Bag, I'm glad the dude recommended it to the Wife at B&H. And I recommend it to anyone looking for a carry all bag! It's phenomenal.

oh, Daily for sure the sligshot. The Expedition 800 is my travel bag so when I travel I can take everything with me. If I'm driving America I drive with my bag I'll take the Expedition but If I'm on a walk about I'll take only the camera and lens "maybe one more" and head out with the sligshot. I really like the sling shot bag and it's great for everything but traveling for me. I like the Expedition because I can have both camera's with lens Attached one with 70-200 the other with 24-70, 4 other lens, 1.4X Converter, 2 flashes "580/430", light meter, battery chargers, Expo Disc, Double AA Battery holders, 24 Double AA Batteries, CF Cards, Tripod, 17" HP Laptop and Charger and my wallet, blackberry, keys and there is still room. Great big bag and heavy loaded up. It does however and I have to give kudos for this, feels like a professional backpack when on your back. The weight is evenly distributed on ones back. There was a lot of thought put into weight distribution and that's important for those guys that will hike the open wilderness. But that won't be me... LOL

I figured out how to "afford" a new bag...I had my husband carry the backpack I had.... he insisted I get a nice rolling bag. One of the best investments I ever made. That poor bag gets the crap beat out of it and looks great.

my last 2 Father's Day presents have been photography related...sort of. Last year MIL, Mother, and wife combined to give me the money for my Airport International, and this year they got together for a new 23" LCD HD IPS Monitor :D.
