How to change Domke Strap

I have a Domke Orginial camera bag, and the outer part of the camera strap is starting to fringe and leave loose threads that I trim
Off but they come back because of wear.

My question is: How do I replace the bag strap? Is there a better strap? If so what is it and where can I purchase it?

The old strap has to be cut out and a new one sewn back in place. Best done by a professional.
