I need to order a backpack style camera bag to make things easier to "lug" around. I need one that will hold 1 flash, multiple lenses, one body and a tripod.
Anyone have any favorites that they have stepped up to?
Regrets that they wished they hadn't bought?
Just trying to get an idea if there is a certain brand to buy or avoid.

Ok, I'll bite.
I have the LowePro Nature Trekker and LOVE it. One of my best buys ever. It is a bit large, but I'm 6'3" and love it. I can fit one body/three lenses (including my 100-400) and one flash, or two bodies and two lenses, or...you get the idea. Plus all the extras like pockets for the small stuff, outside pockets, and the rain pouch that you can pull over the pack in case you get caught out in bad weather. And the bag is still in as good of shape now as when I bought it 3 years ago (and it gets used a lot).

The best thing is that I can carry all that for a LONG time because it carries so well. All the weight is carried on the hips, saving my back.

Oh, definitely go to a camera store (Houston Camera Exchange) and try them on before buying though.

i recently bought (or should say the employer bought) a naneu pro from Houston Camera Exchange for my camera and notebook computer. the neat thing is that the camera section can be removed as a package (sealed) from the backback part.

It is well made and more durable than my Lowepro trekker, which had a torn handle after only 6 months. And it holds more camera gear as well as a notebook computer and assorted stuff. it has side straps for a smaller tripod, and the ubiquitous slot for mp3 headphone wires.....

similar camera+notebook Lowepro et al bags were $150+, this one was $89 at HCE.

Just this evening, I purchased that Naneu Pro UrbanGear U120 you've described ($120.10 walk-out at HCE). I compared it with the LowePro Computrekker and almost went with it ($138, I think, before tax), but the Naneu Pro fit my needs better. Will report back when I determine if I can lug my D70 + Bigma inside. Looks like it will fit, but....
