Backpack ? - 11-29-2006, 02:16 PM

I currently am using a tamrac expedition 5 backpak to carry my camera equipment. I love this backpack it does everything I want a backpack to do ........except hold my laptop.

Does anyone have any recomendations on a backpack that holds a laptop.

I have looked at lowepro and at tamrac's product line ....and I dont really see anything I like. I like the one I have I just wish it had an area on the back for my laptop

The best I've seen is the ThinkTank Airport Addicted. Love to have one but its $389 best I remember. But it does hold a laptop.

I have the CompuTrekker, it holds a 15.4" dell laptop fine. But throw a 20D/flash/70-200 f2.8/spare batteries etc... and the freaking thing gets HEAVY.

I rarely use the two together any more. I have a laptop bag, and a camera backpack now.

I agree....i tried to carry my laptop and camera gear all in one bag, and it does get heavy. separate bags from now on. However I still wind up carrying it all as my wife only wants to pull the roller bag through the airport.

I love my Tamrac adventure 9, and it has a slot for my Dell Latitude. Works great.

I have the NaneuPro UrbanGear U120. Holds my 14" widescreen just fine and has the removable camera gear section. Like Jeffrey, I rarely carry the lappy and gear at the same time, as its just too cumbersome. But I could if I wanted to.

I went to HCE and held both the U120 and CompuTrekker. Even brought in the lappy, as I'd heard some don't fit too well. In the end, the U120 did the best. Price was about $125, IIRC.

Matt: I use the Kata R103. Highly recommend.

Bought mine from here http://www.midwestbags.com/index.php and had no problems.
