Friday afternoon traffic in DFW :D

I drove from Lewisville down to Arlington Camera to check out the camera bags. They had 2 of the ComputrekkerII on the shelf when I walked in, and as I was looking at one, someone picked up the other, walked to the counter, bought it and out the door he went...

OK, so I am a procrastinator.. wasn't sure I needed that BIG of a bag and as I as checking out the other ones... Bam! Another person walks over and buys the other one... needless to say it was the last one... LOL

So I drove over to Ft Worth camera and there it was on the shelf... but hey, look at this one, a little smaller, yet it will carry my laptop.... Primo!!!

I ended up buying the Computrekker bag, It will take me quite a while to fill this one up.

Both stores were fun and exciting to browse through... lotz and lotz of stuff

btw, my bag is really empty, any donations from fellow TPF members would be welcome... I've got just the spot for a 70-220 f2.8 IS USM... my address is in my profile :D

I have a collection of Lowepro and Kinesis bags. I have one rolling Tamrac that carries almost everything except my big glass.

The kinesis are definitely my favorite and the most versatile.

Are you using the Journeyman pack, or just the belt system? What is your setup like for wilderness/nature shooting when you're going to be out on the trail all day?

I have the belt system, with harness, for general shooting and I have everyone of the Holster series for carrying a camera body and single lens with flash.

For wildlife I'm using several of the Long Lens cases with harness and belts and with additional pouches to carry extra lenses or bodies.

I have one that will hold a 1 series body and the 300 f/2.8L IS with 1.4x TC and one that will carry a 1 series body with a 500 f/4L IS + 1.4x TC.

With the addition of the E series pouches you can carry several smaller lenses attached to the long lens case or and an extra body. It also allows you to attach one of the holster bags to the front with a body and lens attached up to a 400 f/5.6L.

just to throw my 2cents in...

i have a lowepro dryzone 200 on the way... i prefer backpacks plus i wanted something that would protect gear whether i'm out hiking or have the kayak out... with a kayak tour/expedition in the works and needing something a little bigger than i already have, the dryzone seemed to fit the bill... big but not too big and waterproof... can't wait for it to get here, wil post pics soon as its stuffed...

here's the interior & exterior of the dryzone200... gotta say its pretty spacey... pretty sure i can get it into a hatch on my kayak as well... also has a tripod carrier & extra loops on the back as you can see...

$179 total thru canada... can't beat that!

Lowepro Photo Trekker Classic - 06-19-2005, 12:05 PM

I have a Lowepro Photo Trekker Classic I'm getting ready to sell if you decide you are interested. Hardly used at all, selling it because I never use it, like my bag on wheels better for what I do - i.e. dog shows where I wheel my equipment around. It is sitting in my closet gathering dust

Let me know if you are interested, live in the Houston area.
